My name is Julie Reed and I am the creator of  the pottery on this site. My business was inspired by and named  in  memory of my brother who passed away from pancreatic cancer.  Our "ever busier" world never got in the way of my brother spending time with the people he cared about  or doing the activities that fed his soul.  He lived life always in the present - with a twinkle in his eye and a funny comment at the ready.  The “Donkey Flight” name comes from one of the funny comments he made in his last hours.     His loss has inspired me to add those soul feeding activities to my life - the ones I had been putting off to "someday".  Realizing today is all we really have, is how my passion with pottery really began.   

Inspiration for my creations comes from the world around me fueling the idea factory in my brain that never shuts off.   I churn out endless ideas (some good some not - but always interesting).   This has led me to produce an eclectic collection – from organic forms that mimic nature, to post modern steampunk, to whimsical bird and toad houses, to tiles and decorative signs that celebrate life and family.
